Das Flavonoid Quercetin

Zusammenfassung

Quercetin gehört zur Gruppe der Flavonoide, die v. a. in Obst, Blatt- und Wurzelgemüse sowie einigen Getreidesorten enthalten sind. Sie weisen antioxidative, antiinflammatorische, antikanzerogene, endothelprotektive sowie immunmodulierende Eigenschaften auf.

Wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen in vitro und in vivo weisen auf präventive und therapeutische Wirkungen von Quercetin hin: u. a. zur Kardioprotektion, bei chronisch entzündlichen Darmerkrankungen, Allergien und Entzündungen, zur Tumorprotektion, bei Diabetes, venösen Erkrankungen sowie viralen Atemwegserkrankungen.
