Im zentralen Fokus von Therapie und Prävention der beiden Erkrankungen stehen die regelmäßige Kontrolle sowie Entfernung potenziell pathogener Biofilmauflagerungen auf der Zahn- und/oder Wurzeloberfläche [1], [2]. In diesem Kontext ist eine individuelle Adaptation der Prävention zur bedarfsorientierten Optimierung und langfristigen Stabilisierung des Mundgesundheitszustands zu fordern [3].
