Significance

Graphite-supported iron(III) acetyl acetonate (Fe/Cg) catalyzed the C-N cross-coupling of aromatic halides 1 and amines 2 to give the corresponding products 3 in up to 95% yield (27 examples). The catalyst was recovered by centrifugation and reused four times with minor decrease of its catalytic activity (for the formation of 3a, 1st reuse: 89% yield, 4th reuse: 87% yield).
