Abstract

An efficient, fast, and straightforward procedure for the synthesis of arylazo aryl sulfones is described by using aryl diazonium silica sulfates and sodium arenesulfinates. The reaction was carried out at room temperature under mild conditions. The use of inexpensive materials, simple and clean workup, short reaction times, and good yields are the advantages of this method.
