Most viral infections after SCT are caused by the endogenous reactivation of persistent pathogens such as adenovirus (ADV), cytomegalovirus (CMV), and Epstein-Barr-virus (EBV). The control of these infections will ultimately depend on the restoration of adequate T-cell immunity.
