Summary

Continued brain moulding following drainage of a chronic subdural haematoma is associated with a poor prognosis. Two cases of bilateral frontal lobe collapse associated with massive intracranial air are reported. Recovery was prolonged but satisfactory.

Zusammenfassung

Fehlende Ausdehnung des Hirns nach Drainage eines subduralen Hämatoms hat eine schlechte Prognose. Zwei Fälle von bilateralem Kollaps des Frontalhirns begleitet von massiver intrakranieller Luft werden beschrieben. Die Erholung war verzögert.
