Abstract

A new dimeric proanthocyanidin, calodenin C [gui-bourtinidol-(4α→8)-afzelechin] (1), was isolated from the stem bark of Ochna calodendron and its structure determined on the basis of chemical studies and spectroscopic data, including HMBC and ROESY experiments.
