Zusammenfassung

Die Übersicht erläutert die Technik der transkraniellen Magnetstimulation mit fraktionierter Beurteilung kortikomuskulärer Projektionen zur nimischen Muskulatur (N. facialis) und der Zunge (N. hypoglossus). Es werden typische Befundmuster magnetisch evozierter Potenziale und deren Interpretation bei Hirnstammläsionen und peripheren Hirnnervenläsionen unterschiedlicher Ätiologie besprochen.

Abstract

In this review the technique of fractionated examination of the transcranial magnetic stimulation of the facial muscles (facial nerve) and the tongue (hypoglossal nerve) is decribed. Typical findings of abnormal magnetic evoked potentials in brainstem lesions and lesions of the peripheral cranial nerves are discussed.
