Introduction

In addition to surgical treatment of descending thoracic aortic aneurysms, primary endovascular stent graft implantation has become increasingly established. Nowadays, this procedure is an alternative therapy with acceptable risk as long as the anatomical conditions do not contraindicate this treatment. Besides acute complications (rupture, graft leakage, underperfusion), delayed complications also have to be taken in account.

This report will cover two cases of delayed retrograde Type A dissection (ascending aorta and aortic arch) after previous successful stent graft treatment.
