An automated synthesis of bis-amides from 1,2-diamines and acids was accomplished on solid-phase via selective formation of an aminoacetal of the diamine with a well-tuned polymer-supported aldehyde linker, diamidation on the polymer-supported aminoacetal, with acid-cleavage to yield product.
