The preparation of new mono- and bi-bridged acridine derivatives by acylation of 4-amino 5-hydroxy-9(10H)-acridinone 6, 4-amino-5-hydroxyacridine 9 and 4-amino-5-propargyloxy-9(10H)-acridinone 7 is reported.
