Two novel bis-oxazolines (4) and (11) have been prepared from a readily available derivative of diethyl L-tartrate. Enantioselective copper catalysed aziridination and cyclopropanation of styrene were carried out using (4) and (11) as chiral ligands to give products in up to 49% e.e.
