The reaction of trimethylsilyl substituted anti- and syn-allyltetracarbonyliron complexes with silyl enol ethers, silyl ketene acetals, or allyltin compounds affords Z- and E-vinylsilanes, respectively, with a high degree of stereochemical purity.
