2,2-Difluorovinylphosphines as well as their oxides and sulfides are synthesized in good yields via the generation of 2,2-difluorovinylboranes from 2,2,2-trifluoroethyl p-toluenesulfonate, followed by the reaction with chlorodiphenylphosphine in the presence of cuprous iodide. The reactions of 2,2-difluorovinylphospine oxide with nucleophiles proceed stereoselectively to afford monofluorovinylphosphine oxides.
