4-(3-Dimethylsulfoniopropylaminocarbonyl)-2-[2-(4-nitrobenzoylamino)ethyl]thiazole and the corresponding bithiazole and terthiazole derivatives have been designed and prepared aiming at specific binding to the guanine bases of DNA.
