Mammatumore gehören zu den häufigsten Tumorerkrankungen der Hündin. Der 1. Teil des Beitrags gibt einen Überblick über mögliche Risikofaktoren und die Histologie des Tumors. In diesem Zusammenhang werden unter anderem der Einfluss der Frühkastration auf das Risiko der Entstehung von Mammatumoren und anderen Tumoren bei der Hündin diskutiert.
