A Case of Varicose Ulcer Treated with Homoeopathy

A 58-year-old male patient presented with complaints of torturous veins of both legs more on right leg, circumscribed lesion on inner aspect of right foot joint for the last 1 year. Patient had complaint of severe itching, blood-mixed discharge, aggravation at night and by warmth. He had little amelioration after cold application. He presented with sensation of fullness in right leg which was aggravated by standing for long time ([Figs. 1] [2] [3] [4]).

  • Remedy selected: Hamamelis virginica Q/Vgtt (5 drops)/twice a day along with Calcarea fluorica 6x/4 tablets/twice a day was given for 3 months and Fluoricum acidum 200/2 doses once in week was prescribed for 3 months.

  • After 1 month: ulcer showed improvement.
