Statistical methodology is presented which can be used in analyzing the reliability of diagnostic imaging systems in differential diagnosis situations. A reliability criterion is developed along with formulas for estimating its large sample variance. Several hypothetical examples are given to illustrate the methodology.

Es wird eine statistische Methodik dargestellt, die zur Analysierung der Zuverlässigkeit von diagnostischen bildverarbeitenden Systemen bei Problemen der Differentialdiagnose benutzt werden kann. Es wird ein Zuverlässigkeitskriterium entwickelt zusammen mit Formeln zur Abschätzung seiner großen Stichprobenvarianz. Mehrere hypothetische Beispiele werden angeführt, um die Methodik zu erläutern.
