The Guest Editor of this issue of Seminars in Neurology is Dr. Bahman Jabbari.

Dr. Jabbari is Professor Emeritus of Neurology at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. He received his MD from the Tehran University School of Medicine, Iran, and did his internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry Martland Hospital Unit in Newark, New Jersey. His neurology residency was performed at Albany Medical Center Hospital in New York, and his fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He then quickly rose through the academic ranks, ultimately becoming Clinical Professor of Neurology at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where he remained until 2003. From 1997 to 2004, he was Chairman of the Department of Neurology, Uniformed Services University, in Bethesda, Maryland, and became a Colonel in the U.S. Army. From 1985 to 2006, he was also appointed Professor of Neurology, Physiology and Anatomy at Uniformed Services University in Bethesda. Finally, his career culminated with us at Yale from 2005 to 2015, where he was Professor of Neurology and Chief of the Division of Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders, and Director of the Botulinum Toxin Treatment Program.

Dr. Jabbari is seen as a world authority in the use of botulinum toxin to treat neurologic disorders; he attracted patients to his clinic from the entire world. There was simply not a better option for someone to serve as Guest Editor for this issue of Seminars, and I was thrilled when he approached me with the idea for this issue, which I think is quite unique. He has served as the Academic Editor for Toxins since 2014. His research centers on the use and indications for botulinum toxin in a variety of neurologic disorders, and his influence can be seen in nearly every manuscript of this issue. His publications in the field of movement disorders number in the hundreds; he is clearly seen as a leader in the field.

We greatly appreciate the efforts of Dr. Jabbari, as well as all of the contributing authors, for their great work in this issue of Seminars. The issue provides comprehensive and detailed insights into the use of botulinum toxin in the treatment of a range of neurologic disorders, and shares the tremendous progress that has been made in this field as well as new therapeutic options. This is a truly outstanding issue of Seminars in Neurology– we hope you enjoy it!
