Significance

Bismurrayaquinone A was isolated in the outer Himalayas from the roots of Murraya koenigii, commonly called the ‘curry-leaf tree’. Extracts from the plant are regularly used as a spice flavoring and also in local medicine due to the antimicrobial activity displayed.
