Arzneimittelreaktionen sind definitionsgemäß nicht erwünschte und nicht geplante Wirkungen eines Medikaments. Adverse kutane Reaktionen auf Arzneimittel bei Hund und Katze sind eher selten, können aber grundsätzlich auf jeden Wirkstoff auftreten und prinzipiell jede andere Dermatose imitieren. Bei jedem Tier mit länger dauernden (Haut-)Problemen, das medikamentös behandelt worden ist, sollten solche Reaktionen differenzialdiagnostisch in Betracht gezogen werden.
