Significance

The easily available diphenyl­phosphinoazomethinylate salt (DIPPAMs) ligand ­developed previously by this group (Tetrahedron: Asymmetry 2008, 19, 1804) is successfully applied to the copper(II)-catalyzed 1,6-conjugated addition between organozinc reagents and cyclic dienones with complete control of regioselectivity and high ee values.
