Significance

Alkenes and aminoalkenes undergo an efficient gold-catalyzed oxyarylation with ­alcohols, carboxylic acids, and water as oxygen nucleophiles. Moreover, the arylboronic acid component was modified and functional groups like esters and aldehydes are tolerated under the reaction conditions.
