Significance
Molecular sieves supported PdCl2 (ms-PdCl2) catalyzed the Suzuki coupling of aryl chlorides with aryl boronic acids to afford the corresponding biaryl products in up to 98% yield (17 examples). In the reaction of 4-chlorobenzaldehyde with phenylboronic acid, the catalyst was recovered and reused five times without significant loss of activity.
