Suzuki Coupling with Palladium Dendron Complex Grafted on MNPs

Significance

Palladium dendron complex grafted on ­superparamagnetic nanoparticles 2 was prepared from triallyl compound 1 in ten steps (eq. 1). Complex 2 catalyzed the Suzuki coupling of aryl halides with arylboronic acids to give the corresponding biaryls in up to 100% conversion (15 examples). In the reaction of iodobenzene with phenylboronic acid, the catalyst was recovered by magnetic separation and reused 24 times without significant loss of its catalytic activity (>95% conversion in 25th cycles).
