Significance

A PbS-Au nanocomposite supported on carbon powder (PbS-Au/C) catalyzed the three-component coupling reaction of aldehydes 1, secondary amines 2, and terminal alkynes 3 in water to give the corresponding ­propargylic amines 4 in up to 95% isolated yield (32 examples).
