Abstract

The petroleum ether extractive of Tricholepis g l ab errim a on chromatography over alumina yielded a sterol fraction and a triterpenoid identified as betulin. The sterol fraction on GLC resolution was found to be a mixture of spinasterol, stigmasterol and stigmast–7–enol.
