Significance

In this paper, the authors have developed a new class of readily available, air-stable chiral phosphine-aminophosphine (PAP) ligands and their successful application to the enantio­selective hydrogenation of various functionalized olefins. Excellent enantioselectivities have been achieved for most substrates examined, which demonstrated the high potential of these ligands in preparation of biologically interesting compounds.
