Kopf-Hals-Tumoren – Ätiologie und Rolle der HPV

Die mit Abstand häufigste Form des Kopf-Hals-Malignoms stellt mit ca. 90 % das Plattenepithelkarzinom dar, welches im Wesentlichen mit den Risikofaktoren Tabak- und Alkoholkonsum assoziiert ist. Ein weiterer Risikofaktor ist die Infektion mit dem Hochrisiko (HR)-humanen Papillomavirus (HPV).
