Zusammenfassung

Die Nuklearkardiologie ist im Wandel. Die Zeiten, in denen man als Nuklearkardiologe ähnlich einem reinen Dienstleister Myokardperfusionsszintigrafien durchführte und befundete, haben sich zugunsten einer größeren Vielseitigkeit geändert. Es tun sich neue, vielversprechende Anwendungsfelder auf, die eine enge Kooperation mit den klinischen Partnern erfordern. Zu diesen Anwendungsfeldern gehören insbesondere Infektions- und Inflammationserkrankungen sowie die kardiale Amyloidose. Des Weiteren ist die künstliche Intelligenz auf dem Vormarsch. Wird der Nuklearmediziner dann noch gebraucht? Quo vadis, Nuklearkardiologie?

Abstract

Nuclear cardiology is changing. The times in which nuclear cardiologists, like pure service providers, performed and reported myocardial perfusion scintigraphy have changed towards a broader spectrum. New, promising fields of application are opening up that require close cooperation with clinical partners. These fields include in particular infectious and inflammatory diseases as well as cardiac amyloidosis. Artificial intelligence is also on the advance. Will the nuclear physician still be needed? Quo vadis, nuclear cardiology?
