Erhaltung periimplantärer Gewebe – Möglichkeiten und Grenzen

In diesem Fachbeitrag werden basierend auf der neuen Klassifikation parodontaler und periimplantärer Erkrankungen die 3 Formen periimplantärer Gewebe beschrieben. Nach eingehender Beschreibung der periimplantären Mukositis und der Periimplantitis wird sowohl die nicht chirurgische als auch die chirurgische Therapie der Periimplantitis dargestellt. Hieran anschließend wird das Konzept der periimplantären Erhaltungstherapie vorgestellt.

Fazit

Aufgrund der hohen Zahl an Implantationen und der bisher nicht vorhersagbaren Ergebnisse der Behandlung einer bestehenden Periimplantitis, ist der periimplantären Erhaltung der Hart- und Weichgewebe eine besondere Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken. Dazu ist es erforderlich, den genauen Zustand der periimplantären Gewebe festzustellen, anhand dessen ein entsprechendes Nachsorgekonzept zur Vermeidung periimplantärer Erkrankungen erstellt wird. Dieses ist individuell für den Patienten abzustimmen.
