Homeopathy and allergy
This 9-page paper was read by Dr M Hunton at the Tutorial at Selly Oak Hospital Post-Graduate Centre. After defining modern terminology on the subject, the author dealt with the mechanisms of allergy, including a diagrammatic presentation of four types of immune reaction. Then there are its various manifestations, with possible aetiology, including conditions with more tenuous links with allergy, eg rheumatoid arthritis, proctitis, etc, and two pages of diagnostic tests, both orthodox and unorthodox. Finally, four pages devoted to treatment are mainly concerned with remedies: suggestions for remedies for the various allergic conditions; rubrics which would give particular information about allergies; and remedies, particularly the polychrests, with strong rubrics which might indicate allergies.[ 1 ]
