Im April 2008 sollen die lang erwarteten Vorschläge für eine neue EU-Verordnung zur Lizenzierung von Luftfahrern veröffentlicht werden. Die darin enthaltenen Bestimmungen zur flugmedizinischen Tauglichkeit weisen zum Teil signifikante Neuerungen auf. Während diese sich inhaltlich an JAR-FCL 3 orientieren, sind das Projekt einer „Light Aircraft Pilot Licence” (LAPL) und die Ausgestaltung der zugehörigen medizinischen Tauglichkeit mit Beteiligung von Allgemeinmedizinern etwas völlig Neues.
In April 2008 the proposals for a new EU Regulation on Personnel Licensing will be published. The aeromedical provisions included will implicate significant changes. Whereas the provisions are based on JAR-FCL 3, the project of a new Light Aircraft Pilot Licence (LAPL) and the details of the associated medical certification involving general practitioners will be something new in aviation medicine.
