Periphere Neuropathien sind oft schwierig abzuklären. Im folgenden Artikel (Teil 1 und 2) wird die diagnostisch richtige und untersuchungstechnisch korrekte Ursachenzuordnung einer Polyneuropathie dargestellt. Aufgezeigt werden soll ähnlich einem Diagnostikpfad/Algorithmus die korrekte Diagnosestellung anhand fester Kriterien unter Zuhilfenahme von klinischer Untersuchung (v. a. Teil 1) und apparativer Methoden (v. a. Teil 2).

Der erste Teil des Artikels vermittelt Kenntnisse über:

Häufigkeitsverteilung und Ursachen Erstellung eines Diagnostikpfades Anamnese und Familiengeschichte (Alter, Geschlecht, Symptome, Vegetativum, Beginn, Verlauf, Besonderheiten, Erbmodus) klinische Symptome und Ausfälle (Lokalisation, Motorik, Reflexe, Sensibilität, Koordination, Vegetativum etc.) das klinische Verteilungsmuster.
