Abstract

Of the whiplash injuries often found in physiotherapeutic practice 19 – 60 % develop chronic disorders. This systematic literature review examined the scientific evidence of the effectiveness of different treatment modalities. The results showed moderate to high evidence that multidisciplinary rehabilitation and multimodal approaches are effective and cost-saving.
