Die Heavy-Body-Wash-Technik als Abformverfahren in der Implantatprothetik

Zur Abformung im Rahmen einer zahnärztlich-prothetischen Versorgung stehen eine Vielzahl von Materialien und Techniken zur Auswahl. Heutzutage sind Polyvinylsiloxane (A-Silikon) die am häufigsten verwendeten Abformmaterialien. Das Abformverfahren wird nach den Erfordernissen der klinischen Situation ausgewählt. Die möglichen Materialien bzw. Materialkombinationen werden wiederum durch die Abformtechnik bestimmt.

Dies gilt auch im Bereich der Implantatprothetik, wobei neben der häufig angewendeten Einphasenabformung die Heavy-Body-Wash-Technik eine Alternative darstellt.

Different materials and techniques are available for impression taking of indirect prosthodontic restorations. Nowadays polyvinylsiloxanes are the most commonly used materials. The impression technique is selected depending on the needs of the clinical situation. The selection of material and material-combinations respectively (viscosities) is influenced again by the impression technique. This is also considered in the implant treatment.

Besides the frequently applied monophase-impression the heavy-body wash-technique represents an alternative.
