Winkelstabile Plattensysteme am proximalen Humerus[1]

Zusammenfassung

Nach wie vor ist die operative Stabilisierung von Humeruskopffrakturen eine Herausforderung für den Traumatologen. Mit zunehmender Fragmentzahl oder Verletzungsschwere entsprechend den Klassifikationen von Codman und Neer wird auch die Reposition und stabile Retention der Frakturen erschwert. Zusätzlich liegt bei diesen Frakturen häufig ein osteoporotischer Knochen vor. Durch die Einführung der winkelstabilen Plattensysteme am proximalen Humerus ist ein richtungsweisender Schritt zur Lösung dieser Probleme erfolgt. Erste Arbeiten zeigen gute bis sehr gute Ergebnisse mit den neuen Implantaten und auch die eigenen Erfahrungen sind vielversprechend.

Abstract

The ideal treatment for dislocated fractures, especially three and four part fractures according to the classifications of Codman and Neer, is still the center of scientific debate. In many cases the stabilization of this fractures is complicated by a low quality of bone because of osteoporosis. Many different implants have been tested and investigated, thus demonstrating lack of sufficient results. Over the last years the development of angle stable, locking implants started and clinical studies demonstrated encouraging results. In our clinic the locking proximal humerus plate (LPHP®) advanced to the implant of choice for treatment of dislocated proximal humerus fractures.
