TPTT - Eine neue Transferschiene für die präzise und effiziente Bracketplatzierung mit individualisierten Bracketbasen

Zusammenfassung

Obwohl weniger als 20 % aller Kieferorthopäden die indirekte Klebetechnik [2] verwenden, ist unumstritten, dass Brackets extraoral auf Modellen exakter platziert werden können als intra-oral [3] [4]. Im Vergleich zur direkten Klebetechnik sind die Möglichkeiten, das Modell zu drehen und die Bracketpositionen in allen Raumpositionen zu erfassen, unerreicht.
Minimiert wird auch die Fehlerquote im Vergleich zur direkten Technik. Die Effizienz steigt, weniger Behandlungsschritte sind notwendig, die Behandlungszeit wird reduziert. Für den Berufsanfänger ist ein Lerneffekt gegeben.
Das in diesem Artikel beschriebene Verfahren der Schienenherstellung (TPTT = Two Piece Transfer Tray) ermöglicht die genaue Platzierung der Brackets durch eine stabile, zweigeteilte Schiene. Die mit Komposit individualisierten Bracketbasen erlauben die exakte Positionierung und Portionierung des Klebematerials.

Abstract

Although fewer than 20 % of orthodontists use an indirect bonding technique [2], there is general agreement that brackets can be positioned more accurately extraorally on a study model than intraorally on the teeth [3] [4].
Compared with direct bonding, the ability to rotate the model and look at the bracket position in all planes of space is only to be achieved by indirect bonding.
Indirect bonding reduces human and time-related errors, because fewer steps are needed to complete the process, making it more effective and efficient. Other advantages are reduced chair times and the fact that it is an adequate learning method for the beginner.
The indirect bonding system described in this article has the advantage of high accuracy and low cost, but additionally offers clinicians a method that allows them to bond the brackets (with individualized bracket bases) exactly on the teeth with an especially designed transfer tray (TPTT = Two Piece Transfer Tray).
