Zusammenfassung

Tumoren des Parapharyngealraumes sind mit einem Anteil von 0,5 % aller Kopf- und Halstumoren selten. Zumeist handelt es sich dabei um gutartige Tumoren, etwa 50 % der Tumoren stammen aus dem Speicheldrüsengewebe, während die anderen 50 % eine neurogene Herkunft habe (Neurilemmome und Paragangliome). Fibrolipome des Parapharyngealraumes sind außerordentlich selten. In der Literatur finden sich nur einzelne Fallbeschreibungen.

Ziel dieses Berichtes ist, die Symptomatik, die Diagnostik und die Behandlung dieser Tumoren am Beispiel eines 65-jährigen Mannes mit einem Fibrolipom des Parapharyngealraumes darzustellen und im Kontext mit der internationalen Literatur zu diskutieren.

Summary

Tumours of the parapharyngeal region represent 0.5 % of all head and neck tumours. Most of them are benign and derive from the salivary gland tissue or have neurogenic offspring (neurolemmoma and paraganglioma). Fibrolipoma of the parapharyngeal space are extremely rare. There are only case reports found occasionally in the literature.

We report about case of fibrolipoma in the parapharyngeal space of a 65-years-old man. Symptoms, diagnostic, differential diagnostic, as well as treatment will be discussed in context with the international literature.
