Publication History

Publication Date:
14 January 2004 (online)

The endoscopic abstracts from the 2003 United European Gastroenterology Week (UEGW) in Madrid provided a good overview of current topics being investigated - mostly in Europe, but also in the Far East and the Americas. This review covers all of the abstracts from oral presentations and a selection of abstracts from a few posters for relevant, large-scale, and/or randomized studies. Only brief references to key papers in endoscopy published recently will be made, since these are mostly covered in the state-of-the-art reviews in this journal.
