Das Gezeitenmodell

Pflegetheorien und Pflegemodelle besitzen innerhalb der psychiatrischen Pflege im Vereinigten Königreich geringe Konturen. Diese Arbeit beschreibt den theoretischen und philosophischen Hintergrund des Gezeitenmodells, das während einer Fünfjahresstudie zum Thema „Bedarf an psychiatrischer Pflege” entstanden ist. Das Gezeitenmodell erweitert einige der traditionellen Annahmen bezüglich der zentralen Bedeutung zwischenmenschlicher Beziehung in der Pflegepraxis und baut sie aus. Das Modell enthält auch dezente Anteile dafür, eine Person wieder zu bevollmächtigen, die durch eine seelische Erkrankung oder durch die psychiatrischen Dienste oder durch beides die Vollmacht über sich selbst verloren hat. Die Arbeit berichtet kurz über die noch anhaltende Evaluation des Modells in der Praxis.
