I want to thank Dr. Timothy Marten and Dr. Tue Anh Dinh, who have assembled a group of authors with unmatched experience to create an extraordinary and unprecedented issue on Facelift: State of the Art for Seminars in Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Marten is a board-certified plastic surgeon and internationally recognized expert on surgery to rejuvenate the aging face. He is a member of over 20 professional societies, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Marten is a regular lecturer and instructor at plastic surgery symposia and the published author of numerous journal articles and textbook chapters on cosmetic surgery of the face. His publications include widely referenced and referred to chapters in Aesthetic Surgery, Mastery in Plastic Surgery, Clinics in Plastic Surgery, Instructional Courses in Plastic Surgery, Deep Face-lifting Techniques, Operative Techniques in Plastic Surgery, The Forehead and Temporal Fossa: Anatomy and Technique, and Atlas of Cervicofacial Rejuvenation. Dr. Marten has also contributed the chapter "Maintenance Facelift: Early Facelift for the Younger Patient" to this issue of Seminars in Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Dinh is a board-certified plastic surgeon in the Division of Plastic Surgery, Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Dinh had his surgery residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, Texas, and completed his plastic surgery residency and microsurgery fellowship in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. He also has completed an aesthetic fellowship. His clinical interests are in cosmetic and laser surgery, wound healing, and breast reconstruction.

We are grateful to Drs. Marten and Dinh for their leadership and the contributing authors for introducing us to their techniques and sharing their insight and years of experience.
