Bei dem Verdacht auf eine tiefe Venenthrombose bildet eine zielgerichtete Diagnostik die entscheidende und unverzichtbare Grundlage einer effektiven Therapie.
Der vorliegende Beitrag liefert zunächst einen Überblick über Klinik, Risikofaktoren und Therapie der tiefen Venenthrombose, um sich dann ausführlich mit den radiologischen Aspekten dieses Krankheitsbildes zu befassen. Beleuchtet werden als Methoden: Phlebographie, Ultraschall, Computertomographie und Magnetresonanztomographie. Im Ergebnis bietet der Artikel praktische Leitlinien für das Vorgehen bei bestimmten Konstellationen an: Erstereignis, rezidivierende tiefe Thrombosen und TVT in der Schwangerschaft.
