This issue of Seminars in Reproductive Medicine is focused on “Reproduction and Gynecologic Cancers.” We are fortunate to have Kirsten Tryde Macklon, PhD, as our guest editor. Dr. Tryde Macklon is a consultant in gynecology with a subspeciality in Reproductive Medicine and Fertility Preservation. She works in the Fertility Department, Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark. Dr. Tryde Macklon has broad experience in assisted reproductive technologies (ART) with special expertise in fertility preservation, and she developed the fertility preservation service in Copenhagen and at Southampton University Hospital, UK.

Her current activities include training ART personnel on fertility preservation both locally and internationally through the European Society of Reproduction and Embryology, and she has been very active in building clinical guidelines on the topic. Her areas of research include fertility awareness, oocyte donation, and fertility preservation in males. In this issue of Seminars in Reproductive Medicine, she has done outstanding work engaging high-level experts to contribute to the topic of “Reproduction and Gynecological Cancers.” We hope that you enjoy this timely and up-to-date issue.
