Individualized Homeopathic Treatment in Hydronephrosis of Pediatric Patient: A Case Report
Funding None.

Abstract
Hydronephrosis is defined as dilatation and distension of the renal collecting system of one or both kidneys due to obstruction of urine outflow distal to the renal pelvis (i.e., ureter, urinary bladder, and urethra). This case report examines the role of homeopathy in a patient diagnosed with hydronephrosis. It documents the clinical presentation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of a 5-year-old girl presenting with frequent urination, exacerbated in the evenings, for the past 2 months. The diagnosis of hydronephrosis was established based on clinical features and ultrasound findings. A beneficial result was obtained by individualized homeopathic treatment with Phosphorus. Symptomatic improvement was observed clinically within 4 weeks of individualized homeopathic treatment, while the patient was followed up for 12 months and the objective improvement was confirmed through ultrasonography. Causal relationship between the improvement and the given intervention was established using the modified Naranjo criteria for homeopathy (MONARCH) framework. This case underscores the potential of homeopathy as a supportive therapy in managing hydronephrosis.
