Je-Wook Shin et al. Risk of recurrence after endoscopic resection of early colorectal cancer with positive margins
The optimal therapeutic strategy after endoscopic resection of a polyp containing T1 colorectal cancer and a positive resection margin remains controversial. This retrospective study including 265 patients with a positive margin shows that residual tumor was present in 6 % of those who underwent additional surgery, and recurrence was observed in 8 % of those who were followed up without surgery.
