Stapedotomie erfolgreich bei fortgeschrittener Otosklerose?

Die cochleäre Otosklerose ist eine seltene Erkrankung des Innenohres, die zu einer Verknöcherung der Haarzellen führt und die Homöostase der Lymphströme negativ beeinflussen kann. Betroffene leiden unter Innenohrschwerhörigkeit, eine Therapie gilt als schwierig. Heining und Kolleginnen/Kollegen haben nun in einer retrospektiven Studie untersucht, ob Patienten mit fortgeschrittener Otosklerose von einer Stapedotomie profitieren können.
