Akzidentelle Kohlenmonoxidintoxikation bei einer Familienfeier

Zusammenfassung

Bei einer Familienfeier kommt es zu einer akzidentellen Kohlenmonoxidintoxikation der gesamten Familie. Betroffen sind 7 Erwachsene und 4 Kinder. Beschrieben werden mögliche Gefahrenstellen, die Pathophysiologie und die Symptome einer Kohlenmonoxidintoxikation im Allgemeinen, wie auch in der Schwangerschaft. Was muss der ersteintreffende Notarzt beachten? Welche Gefahren drohen, wie sieht die Therapie aus und was ist organisatorisch zu bedenken?

Abstract

We describe a case in which a family (7 adults and 4 children) is affected by unintended inhalation of CO from a bucket of hot charcoal. The potential sources of carbon monoxide in daily life, the pathophysiology and symptoms of CO intoxication as well as treatment options are explained and some information on tactics at the emergency site are given; the effects of CO on a pregnant woman and the fetus are highlighted.
