Abstract

Hybrid coronary revascularisation (HCR) is a combination of surgical and interventional therapy for patients with multi-vessel coronary artery disease. HCR has been performed as an alternative to conventional coronary artery bypass grafting and percutaneous coronary intervention in several thousand patients successfully. Herein we provide an overview of definition, rationale of HCR, patient selection and timing for HCR, as well as of the surgical technique and current evidence.
