Warum dieser Fall?

Der Fall beschreibt eine Mitochondriale Enzephalomyopathie mit Laktat-Azidose und Schlaganfall-ähnlichen Episoden (MELAS) als seltene Ursache mehrzeitiger, rezidivierender und multifokaler zerebraler Störungen mit dem kernspintomographischen Korrelat einer Diffusionsrestriktion. Die ungewöhnliche Klinik und die MRT-Befunde mit ungewöhnlicher Morphologie führten im Verlauf zur Diagnose.
